I'm a bit of a flashlight fanatic, always trying out new lights and sharing my thoughts with my friends. I've tried cheap ones and expensive ones alike, and I have to say, the Soonfire really impressed me. Even at its highest setting, it's brighter than my 7-year-old $85 Fenix flashlight that was top-of-the-line in its day. Plus, it's USB cable rechargeable and comes at a very reasonable price for what it delivers. The various brightness modes are easy to use, and the manual is clear and straightforward. However, I do have a few gripes. The method for charging the flashlight is not intuitive at all, and it's a significant oversight by the designers. You have to click the tail button to start charging after plugging in the USB cable; otherwise, it's just waiting. Soonfire knows this is an issue because they include a bright yellow label explaining the process. Additionally, it's frustrating that the manual and product description don't provide estimated battery life at different brightness levels. Still, overall, it's a solid flashlight with some caveats.
